Warwick Academy, Bermuda is a skilled rugby squad which looks to make a mark at the 2017 Ariel Re Bermuda 7s.
Bermuda high school rugby will be well represented at the 2017 Ariel Re Bermuda 7s, as Bermuda Rugby fields three elite squads including teams from Cedarbridge Academy, Berkeley Institute and Warwick Academy. Ariel Re also sponsors a high school league featuring exiting matches between the local schools played at the Bermuda National Sports Centre.
Warwick Academy Rugby
Warwick Academy aims to provide all students the opportunity to develop their physical abilities through a variety of fun activities including rugby during the academic year. Fitness is gained through regular exercise and the students are taught not only how to get fit, but also why it is important to be fit and that the activities followed in class and during activity afternoons will help build each student's self-esteem and direct them to a far healthier life style and lifelong participation.
Beyond Rugby Bermuda
Beyond Rugby is a collaboration between the Bermuda Rugby Football Union and Family Centre of Bermuda. The programme helps young people develop character and succeed in school while having fun and staying fit. The group offers a full rugby programme, a meal, and transportation home after practice, along with personal social support and case management for youth. Beyond Rugby achieves great results due to the partnership and resources that support young people. The Family Centre organizes support for young people and families. The Bermuda Rugby Football Union organizes the training and games.
