University at Buffalo
Teams
In the fall of 2016 the University at Buffalo rugby program is attending the 2016 Bowl Series at Iona College.
Established in 1966, UB Rugby has enjoyed a winning tradition ever since. As a member of the powerhouse Rugby East conference we regularly compete with some of the top programs in the country as well as against teams in the Big 10, MAC, Ivy League, and other conferences. Three sides compete every week including a development team in the Upstate Small College Rugby Conference.
One of three teams (the others are Iona and St. Bonaventure) to move into the D1-A Rugby East Conference from the ERC this fall, Buffalo brings a tradition of great rugby dating back to 1966. The Bulls beat Notre Dame in thrilling fashion in a non-conference game to start the season and have since fallen to Ohio State, Kutztown, Iona and Penn State.
Buffalo was ranked #1 among Division One squads by RugbyMag.Com in 2010, a year they went 7-0 and captured the New York State Rugby Conference title.
